I cannot believe it is already the end of September. I feel like time has just flown by and even remember New Year's Day!! I can definitely state this year has been a very successful year for me and have gotten to a point where I could not take on additional projects because of the work load I currently have on hand. I remember last year thinking, "Will my VA business ever pick up?" And it sure has =)
Okay so as a VA in the business part-time, I have came across several programs that has assisted me in hopefully enabling my business to be as productive as possible, including me! However, I wonder which programs provides the most benefits to you as a virtual assistant?
For example, I like using Google Mail because I don't have to worry about finding replies of what was discussed and Google Mail provides that for me along with other useful resources. However, I also use Yahoo Mail in which I can use filters and such to sort different emails into folders from different clients of mine - as well as different signatures. There is always Hotmail, but haven't used that as of yet for my business - just personal use.
For time tracking, I prefer to use MyHours. It's simple and I can access it anywhere since I am usually online the majority of the day completing work for clients, doing homework, etc. Are there other similiar sites out there that you would recommend for other users or individuals who want to get into our virtual world?
For invoicing and business expenses, I currently use Quicken Online. Although, I only complete VA duties on a part-time basis, for now, it is suitable until I really get my feet wet. I have also heard of QuickBooks and Peachtree, but never had the chance to use those programs for my own business.
Last, but not least, I want to welcome all the "newbies" that have joined the virtual assistant side of things. Welcome to the administrative world online!!!
